Coronavirus Stay At Home Activities: Spa Day

Looking for something to do? How about an at home Spa, but how do you recreate the full experience at home? Leave it to a zombi to figure it out!
Step 1: Face (30-45 Minutes)
I would like to advise that on the day you are doing this, shower in the morning and wash your hair so you can keep it up and feeling fresh while you pamper your body. The point of this is to relax as well as beautify, for now put on some music that makes you happy. Let’s start with Derma-planing. So for the derma-planing, I did a pre-face shave using the following tools:

(Flawless Brow and Flawless Face) and then washed my face with my customized 3 Step Facial Routine from bareMinerals

Then proceeded to derma-plane using Flawless Dermaplane Glo

Make sure you lotion afterwards with any of the lotions used in pre derma-planing. When applying the lotion, use Flawless Contour to help stimulate collagen and reduce the appearance of fine lines.

Next up is the face mask. Here is my current selection from bareMinerals
Apply the desired face mask to your face and leave it on for 15 minutes. I love the color purple so this is the only way I will expose my adorable face mask look.
This is a great time to make a snack or lunch. After 15 minutes wash it off your face with a wet washcloth. Pat it dry with a dry washcloth, and be prepared to wash your wet washcloth in case it turns purple (for some mysterious reason).
Step 2: Finish Shaving (30-45 mins)
Going from the head down we are going to use Flawless Nu Razor for our Arm Pitts and Flawless Legs for our Legs.
When using the razor, hold it appropriately but it is safe for sensitive areas. When using the Legs, be sure to go in a circular motion. Now, if you plan to skip Step 3, then please make sure you lotion your legs. I like using a lotion that gives back to your legs, like Hemp lotion, or if you in the mood to create a mood, I would suggest any of Bed Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy collection. Own the mood and enjoy it. If you are not planning on skipping Step 3, proceed to the next step and you do not need to lotion.
Step 3: Tub Time (15-30 mins)
Now, the people who owned my home before we did insisted on a jacuzzi tub in every bathroom, for that I am eternally grateful! And yes, I am openly and honestly obsessed with Marilyn Monroe. But even if you don’t have a jacuzzi tub, a soak in any tub is a good time. To accompany the tub experience is our friends-Body Scrub. These are from Daisy Fuentes from a friend for Christmas.
Since we have addressed hair and face, try to keep them out and let your body have the focus here. Once submerged in water, massage the body scrub in a circular motion on your body. Soak with it for at least 15 minutes and then vacate the tub, rinse off as needed-otherwise pat dry and dress in comfortable clothing. Lotion as needed except hands and feet, we are getting to them next.
Step 4: Manicure (15-30 mins)
It’s now the time for hands. Be sure your nails are cleaned off before hand, if there is polish on them then remove it with nail polish remover. Once your hands are a blank canvas we can get started. Our tools for this stage is the Conair True Glow All in One Nail Care Center. Yes it is as cool as it sounds, it not only stores everyone but has dual functionality.
Once your nails are prepped, paint them your desired color and dry using the bottom compartment to dry your hands. After your hands are done, be sure to lotion them, I have always loved Avon lotion for this. Hands are used so often they deserve to get some loving too.
Step 5: Pedicure (15-30 mins)
Now that hands are dried let’s go to the feet. This is a two part process, toes and heels. For the toes, use the same tools as above. I would not suggest trying to dry your toes in the device, it is more for hands. Clean nails as needed and paint, once the toes are dry we proceed to the next half.
Our tools for the next segment will be Visage Electric Foot Pedi and Lacura Foot Scrub, Balm, and Gel-courtesy of Aldi’s. You will start by using the foot scrub on your feet and dry your feet thoroughly. Then use the Electric Foot Pedi holding your feet taut as you gently roll the device over your feet. After both feet are done, use the Foot Balm or Gel on your feet. I tried one on each foot and the balm feels great but the gel feels really cold in a way that is more soothing than you would think. Otherwise be sure to clean your tools before you put them up.
Step 6: Movie/Massage
Now that you are fully relaxed, all this left to do is to pair some chocolate with wine and a good rom com. Looking to add to the moment?  You can use a hand held massager and just troll it all over you as you watch someone fall in love and relive that moment in your heart. If you have a massage chair or cover for the chair, sitting on that is a pretty good idea too.
Now if you are anything like me, this is not a solo act-get your girls over! I would suggest each girl have their own lotions, but whoever hosts only needs one of the tools! This totally works as a BYO (bring your own) event.

Did you know that a lot of these products that are reusable not only save you money since you are not constantly buying the one use alternatives but also conserve water? All the steps and tools are free for you to copy as is or customize. Your choice, if you change any of the steps, I would love to hear how you changed it and why! An important step in any process is to 1-repeat it often and 2-keep your tools clean. See you tomorrow.
