SEO: Content
Let's finish out SEO with Content. Have you ever heard the saying "A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words"? I do believe this to be true- and yet Text with out Images is not as powerful as Text with Images. This day and age is very visual, and yet we want it all-we want the words and the image! Tough demands I know, but the people want what they want!
Textual content can come in multiple forms. This category not only holds information on ones website, or multiple websites if you had your blog on a separate website, but also information posted on Social Media pages and other pages related to your business.
A couple of things to note about Text Content:
1. Age of the Content: New content is as important as your first content, update responsibly!
2. Source is not important: Content could come from Facebook or your website, both count!
3. Brand it Similarly: It is important that the same way you talk on Facebook is the same way you talk on your site. Keep the information and style consistent.
4. Maintain Control: Only have the websites and profiles you can properly maintain. If you can't maintain a source of SEO, remove it. Bad or un-updated sites look worse than no sites.
There are more aspects to SEO, but next year I will do another month of them. Let's jump away from some of this serious stuff and do something fun...like Netflix show reviews! Come back next week to see what show it is!
