SEO Case Study: Mission 71 Grub

Since we are talking about SEO, I thought this would be a good time to talk about a business venture that ended up being a very good case study about SEO. I was the marketing lead for Mission 71 Grub, it was for a client who owned a piece of land that was trying to start a food truck run on it.

This was started in October of 2018 where the technical end of things was being taken care of-starting to make necessary connections, business licenses, and the birth of the social media pages for the event. Come 2019, we had our grand opening (always a little bit rough) and from there used the momentum to go from 2 to 3 trucks in our next event that had 20+ ticket sales. For technical reasons, the 2nd and 3rd event did not go through and it was after that the business venture was ended.

SEO of Mission 71 Grub
For Mission 71 Grub, there was daily organic content posted on all of the social media channels and boosted Facebook events/Eventbrites for the events themselves. Between both of those factors, the SEO on this event was very well done, and better than I thought it would of been. If you had seen the sign or heard about it the event, and googled it-you would of found it and been able to verify it on lots of sources.

Stats from possible best event of 18 ticket orders
Here is a screenshot from what would of been our best event. For $20, we had 20 ticket order sales-and per the project, that would of put us on track to be profitable from ticket sale clients, ourselves, and locals nearby participating in the eating of the food from the food trucks from dinner that night. And from this event, we would only have grown the audience as well as been able to justifiably charge for the spots of the trucks in the food truck events.

Boosted Multi Face Media Campaign
Here is an example of some of our social media posts, going out daily on weekdays for less than a year with a mixed use of Static and Moving Images. I also had a great time experimenting with polls and getting a lot of involvement from the community. Not to mention, I learned how effective Friday jokes can be. You would be very surprised.

There are times I am told that people want or need SEO for their company but can't afford it, don't want to bother people by posting every day, and don't want to be redundant by posting the same thing on all the channels. At the end of the day, SEO in a digital world is a much needed tool in your arsenal, and if you need it-you have to be aggressive with your tactics to achieve it. Do not let those limiting beliefs keep you from your business' success online! If you have any questions about the project or the results, feel free to shoot me an email!
