Why Editing Can Be A Good Thing

Now on to Editing, edited photos have a lot of negative stigma lately as a lot of people want to be "Photoshop-ed" or photos of photo don't look real and set up bad expectations for young people attempting to do as they do. But even if you take an on point photo, maybe the weather isn't in your favor? A few simple edits turns a good photo into a great photo.

Let's take the photos from last week and compare edit to non edit photos:

Now, these are different angles and yet there is a difference between the edit and non edit. With some light touch ups, you have a slightly more focused and balanced photo. You can have a great photo but if it is a little off, and you have enough photos like this, you will not get people to actually go see the kitchen which in person blows them away.

This complex happens to have a lot of good neutral color choices for their outdoor, but in the top one the black looks so dark against the lighter color. In person, they are similar shades and very cohesive, the bottom photo shows that more.
DSLR-No Edit Front

DSLR-Edit Front
The front looks lighter and the sky is a little more blue, but some photos, such as the two above end up looking similar despite edits. But you generally want a lighter shot and not a darker shot. There are certain details that look better in the second than the first, for example look at your plants-nice greenery as you walk home.

Now that we have our photos as they should be, let's try videos. Anyone notice how videos are slowly taking over everything? A great way to make videos are...Live Videos! Do you know most Social Media Platforms allow you to go live? Even LinkedIn! Next week we start with the most popular: Facebook/Instagram. See you then!
