About Your Blogger

So every year, as I am planning blogs for the year to come I look at what had the most traction and compare that with my ever growing list idea and plan out everything accordingly. Something else I find, as time passes and my business gets to be less of a youngling and more of an adult, I get more bold and more comfortable. I realize though as I look over the year, that I delved more into stuff I like than before, and I realized that there is not many blogs actually about me-so some of it may come as a surprise-so I would like to take this chance to amend that.

Most great stories start at the beginning, I was born and raised in Cali. My family moved around SoCal a bit as a kid, places like Buena Park, Anaheim, Corona, Huntington Beach, Westminster, Etc. If you ask me where I am from though, I would say that I hail from Huntington Beach-as I spent the most time there. More than that though, it's home. Part of my heart is always a little restless when I am not there. I have lived out of state before, and it gives you a glimpse of a different kind of way of living-as well as appreciation for California. But family calls all of us home and back to stay I am.

I went to high school at Edison High School, and was very proud to graduate a Scholar with Honors (2010). I thought, at that time, that I wanted to be the next great Fashion Designer-so right out of High School I went to Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM). One year in Irvine, which was a shocking year. Highschool does not prepare you for real life or college, even if you bust your butt in High School. Year Two was in Los Angeles, mandatory, but very worth it. Taking the Train to the Subway and rolling my books in one hand while my toolbox is in my other was a good growing experience. Some of my favorite days would be when I would arrive early and wander in LA and just gawk at the buildings.

This also happens to be the time I discovered my true passion, graphic design and marketing. In the first semester of college I hated my fashion courses and loved doing window displays and my computer class. I tried to switch majors too late and could not switch it so I decided stick it out and get my Associates in Fashion Design (2012). Soon to follow was my Drivers License, First Car, First Job, and Student Loan Bills. Graphic Design actually got my first job in the Electronics Industry. Months after I was working at my first real job, my personal life had me moving out of state-which in retrospect would end up setting up some great things to pay off in my future.

While living in Nevada, I had a temp job doing graphic design in the electronics industry. It was honestly a great place and I am grateful for the employment and would of stayed if I could have. After that I tried to get a job utilizing my college degree and ended up having it not work out. On a trip out to see family, I responded to a Craigslist Ad looking for a front desk position and got an interview, got the job when I came back to Nevada. Back in the Electronic Industry, I would make great growth and great connections here. It was my first full benefit job (vacation, 401K, etc). My family ended up calling me back to California a couple of years later and once back I got a job in the Graphic Design Industry.

Here I started to really feel the internal struggle of being an employee and having my idea of right and feeling wrong doing what my boss was saying. Everyone should be free to run their business how ever they want, and obviously if they had repeat customers-the customers did not care about they did not know. Luckily around this time, the marketing agency I worked with at the Electronic Industry Company in Nevada had gotten a recommendation from my previous employer about me and wanted to hire me. Not only grateful for the future help from a previous employer, this fulfilled one part of my future I foresaw as a kid-working from home.

In my family, I am a Third Generation Psychic with Clair (Voyance/Sentience/Audience/Cognizance) Senses. As a kid I received various messages about my future that even though I did not understand the gift, I never doubted. I foresaw a small house with a mini cooper, a husband, a cat, a dog and in my office I worked from home as I raised my family. So getting back to the story, this job fit this aspect of my future. I worked for this company for a couple of years, meanwhile starting to develop my own brand/company.

Around the time I met my husband, I was experiencing the struggle of trying to be an employee but not getting any growth or satisfaction from it. My husband, being an entrepreneur, encouraged me to break out on my own and that's when I gave my company a name and became an entrepreneur myself. He also would get me my DSLR for Christmas which would start the mixing of Photography with Marketing in my business.  Soon after the husband came the house, the mini cooper, the marriage, and expansion of entrepreneurship.

Flash forward to current day; I am a happy wife, busy entrepreneur, Spoiled with Love by my Family, Proud Aunt, and Healthier Individual. In my spare time I enjoy growing my spirituality, Yoga, and Video Games. I am very creative and can often be found crafting and building/fixing my own furniture. Though I have some physical limitations, I enjoy weight lifting and a Mostly Vegan/Keto Diet. I am a little bit old school, listen to music older than myself, and enjoy being a Soprano. I was raised Presbyterian, but am more Spiritual in practice. Despite this, I still enjoy going to my family church for the holidays and prayers at night.

Also, I have to note that this is an update to this blog since the Coronavirus made it a great opportunity to not only come together as a community to speak more about ourselves as individuals. Lot's of personal things came out when speaking about the coronavirus, you even saw my tub! But I have to say it felt great to be able to do it and to be heard in a positive way!

Happy Almost New Year Everyone! See You On The Other Side!
