Twitter: Whats a Social Media Handle without an Emoji?
I don't spend a lot of time talking about Twitter, but found a couple of things I would like to delve in to regarding Twitter. These things were discovered during one of my normal mornings posting. So, I generally plan 6 months worth of posts and schedule it on Facebook. Each day as they come out, I will take it from Facebook and post it on Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram. As I post the days content, I check the notifications for any likes or shares, because those are truly appreciated and I love to take a second and show gratitude or return the favor.
One of these days that I was looking over Notifications on Twitter, I noticed people had emoji's in their Twitter Handle. I saw that and thought, well isn't that cool? I wonder if I can do that too? It turns out you can. Here is how you do it:
1) Pick your Emoji
Decide first what emojis you want. For me, I decided to do a Zombie and a Camera. You can do multiple emojis, different emojis, or one emoji. I would just remember it is possible to over do the emoji thing - crazy I know.
2) Find Your Emoji
Here is where I go for my emojis: https://getemoji.com/ . Once you go here, type in what you are looking for and see if it is there. Assuming it is there, something else to note is that the same emoji may look different depending on where it is posted. Once your emoji is found, copy and paste it.
3) Apply Your Emoji
Log in to your Twitter and go to your profile and edit profile. Once the smaller window pops up, paste the emoji in the location you want it. It could be at the end like mine, you could also put it at the beginning. When done press save and refresh your page if you don't see the changes.

Now your twitter handle will show with an emoji, until you remove the emoji from the handle. I really like the customizable features on Twitter as it is a great way to differentiate itself from Facebook and LinkedIn.
